My Experience at Doctor Laffa

My Experience at Doctor LaffaYum! That’s what I have to say about Doctor Laffa after dining there yesterday everning. BlogTO calls it the best Shawarma in Toronto. While I haven’t eaten at too many other Shawarma places in Toronto, such as, for example, Ba Li Lafa which just opened up, I can safely say that Doctor Laffa, an Israeli/Iraqi based establishment under the COR’s cupervision, offers one the best Shawarmas I have eaten – ever.

In terms of the food, everything I saw there was cooked “just right,” and servings are provided in jumbo portions. My 4 year old daughter ordered chicken fingers and the size of each “finger” was the size of her hand! The Lafa bread was served hot and, while the portion was huge, it was very light. Went very well with my Shawarma, “cheeps,” and schug.

As for everything else, one “good negative” was that the place was overpacked. That is the one thing that prevents me from giving it a 5/5. However, the service was relatively quick and the prices were very reasonable. A huge chicken Shawarma platter with chips came out to $14 + tax and tip.

Bottom line, I would definitely go there again!
